Winter Skin Essentials

As the winter months are finally upon us, it is time to integrate more moisturizing products into our routines. Today I’m sharing with you my favourite winter skin essentials for your body, hands, lips, and skincare.

Body

The Body Shop Body Butters – Every winter I dig out all my Body Shop Body Butters. They smell amazing and are super moisturizing. As they are so thick, I only apply these before bed. When I wake up the next morning my skin is so lovely and soft, and it stays hydrated all day.

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil – This shower oil smells amazing!! It cleans  your body just as well as a standard shower gel, but leaves your skin silky smooth. I don’t feel the need to moisturize after using this.

Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream – Throughout the winter I get really sore dry patches, almost like eczema patches. This happens mostly on my calves, elbows, eyelids and brow bone. Every other lotion I tried to heal them stung so bad I just opted to leave them. I was actually digging through my sons lotions because he’s getting really dry skin this season as well and tried this baby lotion. It is so incredibly gentle and nourishing. I would recommend this for anyone with eczema, or just super sensitive skin.

Hands

Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter – I apply this to not only my cuticles, but my knuckles too if they are cracking. It smells like lemon candy. It does a great good at preventing and healing hang nails.

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream – This is the most luxurious hand cream I have every tried. It has 98% natural ingredients. It’s supposed to protect your hands with anti-oxidants. To me, it smells like earl grey tea, but in the best possible way. Is that weird?

Lips

Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub – If you get dry lips in the winter, but still love to rock a matte lip colour, you need a good lip scrub in your life. I love this sugar scrub from Lush, it smells and tastes great; like mint chocolate. This is also a great vegan option.

Melaleuca Sun Shades Lip Balm – This lip balm contains SPF, which so many of us forget to protect our lips from the sun all year round. Any hydrating lip balm will do, this is just the one I’ve been reaching for.

Lush Whip Stick Lip Balm – This whipped chocolate orange lip balm in heavenly. Like the lip scrub, it smells and tastes amazing. It’s super thick and hydrating. I apply this every night before bed.

Skincare

Josie Maran Argan Oil – In the summer I have super oily skin! But now that the winter months have rolled in, it’s done a 180 on me and I have dry patches, and irritated skin. For a ultra nourishing treat for my skin, twice a week I skip my usual serum and moisturizer and apply this argan oil.

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer – Dull skin is another problem many people face in the winter months. The current day time moisturizer has been this. It livens up my skin, and smells of orange candy. Yum!

Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm – As mentioned above, I’ve been struggling with super dry patches on my brow bone and lids. This eye cream has been another game changer. My under eye area has been transformed by this. Pictured above is the sample size, but the full size is $80!! It would be too heavy for me in the summer, but right now it’s perfect.

What are your winter skin essentials?
