February Favourites | 2016

Sorry my favourites are a bit late this month! But I hope the fact that I have a ton to share with you this month will make up for it 🙂

L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3 – I’ve written an entire post about these three products, which you can read here. My hair hasn’t been in this great of a condition since before bleach two or three years ago. My hair is stronger, healthier, and falls out significantly less!

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty – I’ve been suffering from terrible breakouts over the past month. Using this super cleansing mask all over once a week, plus overnight on my targeted breakout areas every few nights has made a dramatic difference. This mask is very intense, it is similar to the Origins Clear Improvement mask, in that is deep cleanses your pores, but this LUSH one is much ‘harsher’ in comparison. I’m thinking of doing a more in-depth review on this product, let me know if you’re interested.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette – I purchased this palette in the Sephora VIB Sale and hadn’t been reaching for it as often as I should. After recreating KathleenLight’s ‘Go To Look’ using this palette, I remembered why I bought it in the first place, and fell back in love. This palette is just so versatile, and smells like chocolate! What more could you want in a palette?

Mac Blush in Melba – This matte coral-peach shade is a classic. It goes with every look, and is my go-to matte shade lately.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara – I currently have a sample size of this mascara that I got in my November Ipsy bag, and have been loving it! It has a natural bristle brush, which is massive! It is literally just as big as my eye. The large brush ensures all the lashes are coated evenly with mascara, but sometimes I end up with it all over my lid. That’s easily fixed, so I think the full, voluminous lashes I get with this is worth the occasional mess.

The Body Shop Bronzer in 02 Fair Matte – I know I’ve talked about this bronzer before (here, and here) but it is just so good! I especially love it during the winter months; when I’m at my fairest. It is a fairly neutral shade of bronzer; not too warm/orange and blends beautifully. I think this bronzer is definitely under-rated.

L’Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation -This is a recent purchase of mine. Although I have super oily skin, this foundation provides a really healthy look to my skin. It’s light to maybe medium coverage. No, it doesn’t last a super long tome on my skin, but it does last long enough to get though classes, or an afternoon of errands, etc. It’s quick, easy to apply and makes your skin look amazing.

Sephora Formula X Nail Polish in Fahrenheit – I pulled this color out for Valentine’s Day, and have been wearing it ever since. It is the perfect, classic red! I love the formula of the Formula X polishes; it’s one of my favourites.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Perfume – This was my most worn scent for the past month. The notes of berries, vanilla, and jasmine provide a very wearable scent for day or night. The bottle is a bit tacky, in my opinion, but it’s what’s inside that counts. I feel like this perfume is another classic that many people love, and for good reason.

Game of Thrones Books – I am finally understanding the hype for Game of Thrones. I’ve resisted watching the TV series, until I could read the books. I’m that way with most movies and TV series that are based off books. I received the entire book set for Christmas 2014, and hadn’t gotten around to reading them. I picked it up before this past Christmas, and found it hard to get into at first. Once I got to know the characters, I haven’t been able to put it down. I’ll have no trouble getting through the box set, after which I will be buying the DVD set to binge watch!

If you’ve made it to the end of this lengthy blog post – I congratulate you! I know it was long, but I felt I had so much to share this month and wanted to tell you about all of it.

What were you loving throughout February?

Emily ♥
