January Favourites | 2017
I can’t believe this is the first favourites post of the year (if you don’t count my Best of Beauty video). I try and either do a blog post, or a YouTube video containing my favourites each month. MAC Whirl
Lipstick must be one of my biggest makeup weaknesses. I own more than I have space for. I’ve rediscovered MAC Whirl, which I hauled HERE and HERE. I’ve owned the lip liner for over a year, and the lipstick is a more recent purchase. Although this may be considered a bit more of a Fall/Winter shade, I’ve been loving it recently! The dirty rose shade is a step outside my usual brown-y toned nudes that I wear almost daily. The matte formula is not uncomfortable or drying like some other lipsticks I’ve tried. Top 5 | Blushes
Another new series happening on the blog, my ‘Top 5’ series. Today we’re talking blushes! Blush is one of those products I just seem to accumulate, even though if asked, I would not say it is one of my favourite beauty products, yet I have a ton of it. Sorry my favourites are a bit late this month! If you read my What I Got For Christmas post, you’d know I received a Mac gift card from my in-laws. I deliberated on which products I wanted to pick up for a long time, because Mac is so expensive for me. 2015 Makeup Favourites
Today I am sharing with you my favourite makeup products from 2015. Many of these were new discoveries, but some are just tried and true favourites that I got a lot of use from. Fun fact: I actually filmed this to upload to YouTube with my new camera that my hubby got me for that purpose. October Favourites
October was a very stressful month for me and I’m glad it’s over. However, this month ended on a good note with Halloween. I’m not super into Halloween but I always enjoy getting Maxwell ready in his costume, and going trick-or-treating with him. You can see his costume on my Instagram (@emilynmax, links in the sidebar). Autumn Beauty Wishlist
These are the top five beauty items I’d like to add to my collection this season. The last few months, I’ve been focused on face and lip products and am pretty happy with my collection in those departments. This fall I’d like to add more eye products to my arsenal. Mac Warm Neutral Eyeshadow Palette – I don’t own any Mac shadows, but everyone says they’re amazing. I was going to build my own 15 pan palette, but it’s cheaper to buy the ready-made palette. Summer Beauty Wishlist
These beauty items have been at the top of my ‘to-buy’ list for quite some time now, I just haven’t bitten the bullet yet. Too Faced Semisweet Chocolate Bar Palette – This palette is beautiful!
