  • Top 5 Posts of 2016

Just like last year, I was curious to see what my most viewed posts were over the past year. My blogging game was seriously lacking in 2016, but it was for the best as I made so much progress in other aspects of my life. Here is a round up of the posts y’all liked most this year: 1. Top 5 | Spring Polishes, May 2. KathleenLights Made Me Buy It, February 3. Review | Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment, May 4. Review | L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3, March 5.  Casey Holmes Made Me Buy It, May Compared to this post last year, I can see such a…

  • Winter Beauty Wishlist | 2016

These are the top five beauty items I’d like to add to my collection this season. The last few months, I’ve been really expanding my collection because of all the new launches. Just when I thought it was time to slow down, there were three launches I got super excited about, a skincare item with rave reviews I want to try for myself, and a recommended blush. My poor, poor wallet. LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation – There’s nothing I love more than discovering new affordable foundations. This has the stamp of approval from both Tati Westbrook and Kathleen Lights, both whose opinions I trust. My skin has been extremely…

  • December Ipsy Bag | 2016

The last Ipsy bag of the year. Ironically, the last Ipsy post on this blog was the first bag of the year. This month’s theme is ‘carpe p.m.’, a clever play on words. As loud and not me this month’s bag is – I kind of love it! It would be a great party clutch if you were in a pinch. It’s texture reminds me of faux pony hair, like that on leopard print shoes. Benefit POREfessional Primer – This is one of my favourite pore filling primers. It provides a smoother base to apply foundation. Having a sample size will be great for if I travel anywhere. Nip +…

  • Makeup Removing Dream Team

I’ve tried countless makeup removers in the past. None removed everything they were supposed to. That is, until I started using these two products together. They work so well as a team, to remove every last bit of makeup, including mascara! I first apply The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter to my dry face. Working it in until is all melted into my skin. I then wet my hands and work it into a lather. I bring this right up into my lashes to begin breaking down the mascara. This does not remove all the mascara on its own, but it does most of the work. For the second…

  • Sephora VIB Sale Haul | April 2016

Finally! My online Sephora order took forever to get to me. I picked up two of these items in store, and ordered in the other three online. I’ve been wanting to get this post up for you guys since the sale ended, but, like I said, I just received my products. Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian – Lately, I’ve been reaching for lip glosses a lot more than I have in years. I wanted a great pinky nude gloss to add to my collection, one that wasn’t too sticky. There’s nothing I hate worse than my hair getting stuck in lip gloss. I find the cooling sensation really…

  • Skincare Overhaul | Part 3

It’s been over six months since my last skincare overhaul post so I figured it was about time to update y’all on my recent skincare additions and how they’re working for my problematic skin. If you’re new to this blog, or you just hadn’t seen my previous two posts, you can read them HERE (1) and HERE (2). The first post covered the beginning of my struggle with acne, how it’s changed as I’ve gotten older, it also documented the beginning of this skincare overhaul or journey I have been on, and my skin type etc. To recap slightly, since integrating the previous five products into my skincare routine, my…

  • February Favourites | 2016

Sorry my favourites are a bit late this month! But I hope the fact that I have a ton to share with you this month will make up for it 🙂 L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3 – I’ve written an entire post about these three products, which you can read here. My hair hasn’t been in this great of a condition since before bleach two or three years ago. My hair is stronger, healthier, and falls out significantly less! LUSH Mask of Magnaminty – I’ve been suffering from terrible breakouts over the past month. Using this super cleansing mask all over once a week, plus overnight on my targeted…
