Review | Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation has been hyped up in the beauty community over the past few months. I jumped on this bandwagon as soon as I could ‘justify’ *cough cough* a high end foundation purchase, and have been loving it since.
“This oil-free foundation masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. Coverage so undetectable and skin so naturally radiant, they’ll think you were born this way.”

97% said this foundation provided natural coverage
Coconut water to delicately replenish skin’s moisture levels.
Alpine rose to brighten skin’s appearance and promote elasticity.
Hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance.
The packaging is luxurious. The heavy, frosted bottle with the gold writing is beautiful. It comes with a pump for easier application, and so you don’t waste as much product.
The formula of this foundation is not too heavy. It feels nourishing on the skin. Provides a natural finish, which stays looking great all day, even on my oily skin, and doesn’t cling to any dry patches I have currently.
The shade range at Sephora is pretty good, in my opinion, with 18 shades to choose from in a variety of warm, cool, and neutral undertones.
This foundation is C$49, which is on par with other high-end (not luxury) foundations at Sephora.
I always wear this foundation with a primer underneath, as I do all other foundations. Usually a pore filling/smoothing primer in my t-zone and a hydrating one everywhere else. I also perfect to apply it with a brush as opposed to a sponge. The Sephora Collection Classic Multitasker Power brush #45 does a great job.
I would recommend this to those of you who have oily skin, like I do. Despite it not being a matte foundation, it does not leave me looking oily within a few hours of wear like others I have tried. I wouldn’t know if it would work well with other skin types, but can tell you it doesn’t cling to my dry patches, as mentioned above, that I’ve gotten due to the colder months.
I hope this review was helpful. What are your thoughts on this foundation?
