Ipsy October 2015 Unboxing

This month’s theme is Alter Ego; Dare to be Different.

The bag this month… I hate it. Is hate too strong a word? I strongly dislike this month’s bag. One side is a metallic gold, the other and patent leather looking black. It’s an odd shape to be useful. It feels cheap (more than usual), and plastic-y. I’m just not a fan.

Emite Make Up Tweezers – I love getting tools in my Ipsy back, whether it’s a brush, or tweezers. These seem to be very good quality, they have a nice weight to them, and a sharp point. Everyone can use a good set of tweezers.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long-lasting Liquid Lipstick in Committed – I am super happy with this product. Kathleen Lights, and Casey Holmes both recently talked about this particular shade. It looks like the perfect everyday shade for fall. It smells like mint chocolate chip to me, but the website said it’s supposed to smell like vanilla mint.

Laura Geller Baked Blush N Brighten in Tropic Hues – Another great brand! This shade looks quite dark in the pan, but swatched it’s a nice peach-y rosy shade with a nice glow to it. I’m super happy with this product as well.

Delectable Ultra Nourishing Hand Cream in Coconut & Cream – This time of year, is the time I break out ALL the hand creams haha. My hands get super dry when the seasons change to fall and winter. Bonus – this product is made in Canada! This smells sooo good! Exactly coconut and cream. Hopefully it’s nice and moisturizing as well, it does say ‘indisputably effective’ on the back.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant – Yet another awesome brand! I do love a good exfoliator. I have sensitive skin though, so I’m hoping this product isn’t too abrasive.

Wow, I am super happy with this month’s bag if you haven’t gathered. Last month, I had said I was considering cancelling, but didn’t because last months was good too, so Ipsy is making a comeback apparently. I’m happy with everything in the bag, just not the bag itself. There were 3 well known, high-end brands this month which doesn’t usually happen either.

What did you get in your Ipsy bag this month?

Emily ♥
