December Favourites
Happy New Year everyone!! I feel like I’ve grown so much in 2015 as a person; making leaps and bounds in my personal and professional development. I’m excited to see what 2016 brings my way. I’m thinking of doing a posts on a 2015 recap/ 2016 resolutions, comment below if you’d like to read that.
Anyway, these products have gotten my through the Christmas season and I’m super excited to share them with you!
Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Shampoo – Due to the dry winter air, my scalp has been super irritated to the point of losing handfuls of hair each time I washed it. I always though Head & Shoulders was just for dandruff, but they have shampoos for a variety of hair/scalp conditions. I grabbed this one for itchy scalp, with eucalyptus, and it has done wonders! My scalp is almost completely better in a few weeks of use.
Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream – I recently shared this product in my Winter Skin Essentials post. This is the best, non-greasy hand cream I have ever used. If you struggle with dry hands, I would recommend giving this one a try.
Colour Lippie Stix in Lumière – If you are a regular reader of my blog, you would know that I am a firm Kathleen Lights supporter. I try my best to support her success by purchasing her collaborations and sharing them myself. This lippie stick is one from her first collaboration with ColourPop and though I’ve used is one and off for almost a year, this past month it has seen a lot of use! The dusty mauve shade combined with the matte finish is perfect for the winter months in my opinion.
Nars Blush in Orgasm – This blush has been sitting in my collection for a long time without much regular use. But as with Lumière, this month I’ve used it a bunch, especially for family gatherings for the holidays, I didn’t want a bold highlight on my cheekbones, so I opted for this peachy pink blush with serious gold shimmer. It provided a bit of shimmer, but nothing like Champagne Pop.
Benefit The POREfessional Primer – This sample size has lasted my ages. This primer minimizes the appearance of pores incredibly well. It does provide a bit of a silicone-y, slippery feel to apply foundation of the top of, leaving brush strokes around my nose, but that’s nothing a damp makeup sponge can’t fix.
L’Oréal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara – Although I purchased this mascara by mistake, I have been loving it!! The big bristle brush, combined with the carbon black formula, makes for intense, voluminous lashes. When this runs out, I will definitely repurchase.
What products have you been loving this month? Don’t forget to let me know about the recap/resolutions post. It’s different from what I usually post here so I would like to know if you guys would like to read it.
Best wishes for 2016 to you and your family!
Emily ♥
