Summer Beauty Wishlist | 2016
These are the top five beauty items I’d like to add to my collection this season. The last few months, I’ve been really expanding my collection because of all the new launches. Just when I thought it was time to slow down, there were three launches I got super excited about, a skincare item with rave reviews I want to try for myself, and a recommended blush. My poor, poor wallet.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – This beautiful, bold, warm palette has my name written all over it. I think I watch a new tutorial on it everyday. The brights looked daunting to me at first, but this can actually be quite versatile. You are about to create a more natural, everyday look with the shades to the left, incorporate a pop of colour, or go all out with a super bold eye look.
KathleenLights’ New ColourPop Collaboration Launch – Launching tomorrow (July 12) is Kathleen’s newest collaboration. It includes three Ultra Satin Lips, and one eyeliner shade available in both pencil and potted gel form. If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you know I’m a die hard Kathleen supporter. I’ve bought, and been super impressed with, almost all of her collaborations in the past. The one item I will be skipping is the potted gel liner, Kathleen herself has admitted the formula isn’t her favourite, but when ColourPop releases an eyeliner pencil, the matching gel liner launches too. It’s just down to personal preference I suppose.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop – Now that I have a bit more colour to my skin, I’ve been reaching for my Pressed Champagne Pop almost daily. Ever since Becca x Jaclyn Hill launched the full Champagne Pop collection, I’ve been lusting after the Liquid Champagne Pop highlight. I own the liquid highlight in Moonstone, and love the more natural, dewy finish it provides, so I would love to have the Champagne Pop shade as well, because the white gold with peach undertones is giving me life right now.
Pixi Glow Tonic – I am almost out of my Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifyng Lotion, which is an acid toner that has made a huge difference in my skin. I’m torn on trying something new, which the Pixi Glow Tonic has great reviews, or sticking with what I know works.
Sleek Blush in Suede – This inexpensive blush is a warm neutral lovers dream. I’m not a big blush fan, but shades like this just call me name. It’s the perfect shade to warm up your complexion, with a hint of colour, and not overpower the rest of your makeup.
What’s on your beauty wishlist right now?
