  • Summer Beauty Wishlist | 2016

These are the top five beauty items I’d like to add to my collection this season. The last few months, I’ve been really expanding my collection because of all the new launches. Just when I thought it was time to slow down, there were three launches I got super excited about, a skincare item with rave reviews I want to try for myself, and a recommended blush. My poor, poor wallet. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – This beautiful, bold, warm palette has my name written all over it. I think I watch a new tutorial on it everyday. The brights looked daunting to me at first, but this…

  • August Favourites

Although I am sad to see summer go, I am so excited for fall. September is my favourite month of the year. Growing up, it was always exciting getting all your new school stuff, signifying a new ‘year’! This will (hopefully) be my last year in school, I am off to finish the 4th year of my degree, and can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Even next year, September will continue to be an exciting time as Maxwell will be headed off to Elementary school. Yikes! Let’s move onto the products I’ve been loving in August before I get all sentimental, shall we: Pur~lisse Pur~delicate Gentle…

  • Essie Tart Deco

As my final tribute to summer, I have brought out Essie Tart Deco. I wore this non stop last summer, but this is the first time I’ve worn it this year for some reason. I suppose it is because I’ve been more into the purples, mint, and light blue polishes.  This coral-y peach shade screams summer to me. It is also one of those colours that make you appear more tan than you really are, which I always appreciate. My apologies that the picture doesn’t do it justice, it looks more orange above than it actually is. What is your favourite nail polish in the summer? Emily ♥

  • Ipsy August 2015 Unboxing

Hey Guys! Is it just me, or did Ipsy show up a bit earlier this month?  This months theme is Prep School. I cannot believe back to school is right around the corner! As always, let’s start with the bag. I’m not a fan. I don’t like the houndstooth and hot pink combination, and the geometric texture is strange. Also, I cannot even identify the material this is made from, something plastic-y. But it’s what’s inside that counts so, moving on from the negative: Albertini International Divine Skin Hydrator – This in shower body moisturizer is unscented, and I feel it will be perfect in the winter when my skin…

  • Summer Beauty Wishlist

These beauty items have been at the top of my ‘to-buy’ list for quite some time now, I just haven’t bitten the bullet yet. Too Faced Semisweet Chocolate Bar Palette – This palette is beautiful! I’m especially excited for the Peanut Butter shade to the right of the blue. Shockingly, this will be my first highend eyeshadow palette – I know – I’m behind on the times! I just feel  like it’s more of an investment so I thought long and hard on which one I wanted. Mac Lipstick in Plumful – Described as a blossoming rose-plum. Though this isn’t an overly summery shade, I think this will be a…

  • Ipsy July 2015 Unboxing

Hey Guys! Sorry for the lack of posts, time is in high demand lately, more so than usual it seems. I have a TON of posts planned (I’m literally on July 5 of my ‘blog schedule’ yikes), I am now waiting for the weather to be a bit better so I can get better quality photos with the natural sunlight, hopefully tomorrow! For now, I’d like to share with you what I got in my July Ipsy bag.   This month’s theme was Summer Lovin’. I feel that the products I got really do embody the summer theme well. The bag is pretty cute as well, I love the bright…

  • Summer Wardrobe Wishlist

Now that the weather is heating up, I’ve realized my summer wardrobe needs a bit of a revamp. I’ve condensed my wishlist into the top 5 items I hope to add to my wardrobe in the next few months. 1. Black Toms My ‘casual sneakers’ are on their last leg, they’ve lasted me 5-6 years so I think it’s time to say goodbye. I need a replacement, so I thought Toms would be perfect. They’ll look good with skinny jeans, shorts, and dresses which is exactly what I need. I don’t usually like the good of trainers with skinny jeans and dresses, but I don’t always want to wear flats…

  • Summer 2015 Bucket List

(Source) This past week I’ve been getting excited for fun summer times ahead. I thought it would be a nice idea to share some of the (realistic) things I’m hoping to do during the summer months.  Here’s my current 12 ideas in no particular order: Upper Clements Park. This is the only good amusement park in the province in my opinion (that I know of). Now that Max is old enough to truly enjoy a trip down to an amusement park, I thought this would be a great day trip for us to make. Camping at Kejimkujik National Park. Max loves the outdoors so we’d love to make a few…
