The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k by Sarah Knight

Cosmopolitan said The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k by Sarah Knight was a “genius” national bestseller on not giving a f*ck and getting more out of life.

Goodreads claims, “This brilliant, hilarious, and practical parody of Marie Kondo’s bestseller The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up explains how to rid yourself of unwanted obligations, shame, and guilt–and give your f*cks instead to people and things that make you happy.”

I however, couldn’t even finish this.

Although supposedly a parody, I did not find this book funny at all. I found the writing to be narcissistic, condescending and “a-hole-like” (yes, that’s a technical term).

Not giving a sh*t about dying polar bears? People getting re-married don’t deserve to have a bridal shower or bachelorette party? These are just two off the top of my head. What really got me ticked off was when calling in a bomb threat was discussed to avoid attending an event you didn’t bother saying ‘No’ to.

The nail in the coffin: discussing suicide via toothpick because you hate gallery openings so much.
I do not consider myself to be an overly sensitive person. But, especially in the world we’re living in today, these issues are not to be made fun of.

The book may have got better, or worse, could not tell you. I cannot read another page. Would not recommend.
