Empties | Products I’ve Used Up | 3
Since my last empties post, I’ve decided to try to do one monthly, if I have enough products to share with you.
Skincare
Lush Tea Tree Water Toner – I only used about 2/3 of this product, but it has expired. I thought this was a great toner for my acne prone skin, but not for everyday as it can be a bit drying. I won’t be repurchasing anytime soon as I’m trying out a few others.
The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask – Another product I didn’t get to finish completely, but it has dried up. It was time for it to go anyway because I’ve had it for about a year and a half. This mask worked great to draw everything from my pores, also great as a spot treatment to leave on overnight.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads – This was featured in my Skincare Overhaul post. This is a great acid toner, gentle enough to use twice daily and didn’t irritate my skin.
Makeup
Sei Bella Creme-to-Powder Foundation – Elle Fowler’s first Makeup Declutter video inspired me to look through my foundations and concealers and throw away what products were over a year old. This is the one foundation that was past its date. It is so old I don’t even remember if I liked it or not – must not have made an impression.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara – I love how my lashes looked when using this mascara! However, the struggle of taking it off wasn’t quite worth it. I have other mascaras I love just as much, if not more, that don’t take two days to remove.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Polish in 320 Co-Bolt Blue – This is a great dark blue polish. Very shiny and fast drying. I like this line of polishes a lot, this one has gotten all clumpy though, which is not a negative – I’ve had it for probably 4 years and it’s just gone bad now.
Melaleuca Sun Shades Lip Balm plus Sunscreen in Key Lime Pie – This lip balm is hydrating, and has SPF 15 which is great. Do not forget to apply SPF to your lips!
Body
Equate Moisturizing Shave Gel in Raspberry – Not a huge fan of the scent, but it doesn’t linger. This shave gel was moisturizing and got the job done. For a store brand, it’s pretty great – just as good as the name brands.
The Body Shop Almond Body Butter – The Body Shop’s body butters are my favourite, I especially love the nut scents. I will repurchase, but have four other scents to use before I buy more. I didn’t see the almond scent on the website, has it been discontinued?
What have you used up recently?
