Target Haul

This is most likely going to be the first and last Target haul seen on this blog because Target recently announced they are withdrawing from the Canadian market. At first, I was slightly upset by this prospect, where else was I supposed to go to get Sonia Kashuk and e.l.f products? I also liked to browse through their clothes and home décor sections. But in reality, I now understand why, we just prefer WalMart here. I mean, I only went to Target maybe three or four times the whole time they were here, I liked it fine, I just wasn’t ‘wowed’. To me, it just reminded me of the Zellers they replaced.
Moving on to the haul, I’d like to share what I got when I went to the liquidation sale. I will note the retail price, as well as the liquidation discount.
The first item to the left is a P’kolino Mess Eaters Round Storage Bin ($16.99 – 10%). I picked this up because I thought it’d be the perfect size to hold the toys Max’s prefers to have in the living room. I’m always tripping on toys, and pushing them to the wall, it just always looked untidy. So far, this is working well.
I also picked up two packages of Post-Its, I use these all the time. They were $12.78 for both and 30% off. Can’t go wrong!
L’Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray ($14.99 – 10%). Many beauty bloggers rave about the strong, yet not crunchy hold of this hairspray. I’ve been wanting to try it for a while but was put off by the price. There are much cheaper hairsprays at the drugstore, but at 10% off I decided to give it a try.
Bella by Illume Midnight Orchid soy candle ($14.99-20%). This candle smells SO good, it does smell quite floral, but there is a hint of something…muskier (?) about it. I can’t put my finger on it. The packaging is beautiful as well, it will look great on my bedside table. I also plan on using it to hold my makeup brushes once the candle is done.
Speedo Scuba Giggles googles for kids ($10.99-30%). Max has been really enjoying the swimming lessons we put him in starting in January. He’s been becoming much more adventurous and brave with his swimming, he has just starting going underwater. I thought he’d really enjoy being able to see under the water with these googles. I’m hoping they will also encourage him to push himself a little more, maybe try to retrieve a toy from the bottom of the pool (in the shallow end of course). He picked the crazy colour himself.
Mossimo Supply Co. light grey tank top ($8.00-20%). You can’t have too many basics in your wardrobe. This is just a classic tank top, perfect for layering.

On to the makeup, the fun part! Everything was 30% off in the cosmetics section of Target. I wish I got more, but everything was picked over for the most part.
I picked up both the Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy polish in 540 Checkmate, and the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Leather by Eyestudio in 80 Creamy Beige because of Essie Button (#essiebuttoneffect). Both of these items were featured on her blog (www.essiebutton.com). When I saw them, I didn’t even have to think about it, if Estée likes them, I will too.
I got two if the new Revlon Ultra HD Lip Laquers. The top one is 540 HD Petalite, a classic pink gloss with gold shimmer. The other is 570 HD Smoky Topaz, a nude mauve colour, also with shimmer.
Lastly, I got the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss lipstick in 08. EleventhGorgeous talked about this in their 2014 Beauty Favorites video. It’s a dark mauvey nude, very Kylie Jenner. I’ve also heard it is like Mac Faux, but I don’t have that lipstick to compare.
