Winter Favourites

I could not be more excited to be moving into spring!
Today I’d like to share with you the 10 products I’ve been loving the most during these long winter months.

Let’s start with skincare.
First up is the Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. This is a great cleanser for me in the winter, I didn’t want anything to harsh and drying on my skin. It’s super gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean.
The other skincare item I’ve been loving all winter is The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. I’ve been suffering from dry spots this winter, which has never happened to me before. I was looking for a heavier moisturizer to solve that problem, but wouldn’t make my usually oily skin break out. Though this did make me a tad oily during the day, I loved using this as a night cream. It made my dry spots so much better, and I’ll probably continue to use this until it gets too hot. Bonus, the Vitamin E range from The Body Shop smells amazing!
Moving on to the fun stuff – beauty products.
Everyone loves a dark red nail polish in the winter. The one I used the most was Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in 340 Cinna-snap and I think it was because it was the easiest, and fast one to apply. I also have a few other dark colours from this range of Sally Hansen products, and I love them all, the thick brush makes it so easy.
Because of the dry patches this winter, I didn’t like to wear a heavy foundation. I used the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream with SPF 35 in the shade Light. This product provides a decent amount of coverage, so that I didn’t feel completely bare faced but didn’t cling to my dry patches as bad. I also like that is contains SPF, even in winter you should always be protecting your skin from the sun.
To add a bit of colour back to my pale skin, The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 02 Fair Matte, did the trick. This bronzer is quite light, but works great for the winter months, or if you usually have quite fair skin like I do. I also think the honeycomb print is cute, but mine is starting to fade.
Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in 005 Parisian Passion. This is an amazing dark berry shade! It lasts a long time as well because it is a stain. I do find the applicator a bit weird, but I’ll just blend the product out with my finger or lip brush.
Maybelline EyeStudio Gel Liner in Blackest Black. I prefer gel eyeliners over liquid ones because I find it easier to use, and this is the only one I’ve been using all winter, whenever I went out with friends. It’s long lasting, and opaque with only a tiny amount of product. Mine has started to dry out unfortunately, but I’ll definitely be repurchasing soon.
The mascara I wear almost everyday is the CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom. It does what it claims, which seems to be a rarity these days. It provides volume and stays touchably soft.
Something everyone and their dog raves about; the Maybelline Color Tattoo in 25 Bad to the Bronze (or On and On Bronze depending on where you’re from). This is the perfect bronze shade, it reflects the light beautifully. It is super easy to apply, I just use my finger, and it doesn’t crease. This can be worn as a base, or by itself. I usually wear mine all over the lid with a soft brown blended through the crease. I have never gotten so many compliments on my makeup before, as I have while wearing this.
Last but not least, Maybelline Matte lipstick in 660 Touch of Spice. It is a dark mauve-y nude shade. It goes with pretty much any makeup look. The formula isn’t too drying either, which is rare for matte lipsticks.
