Easy Easter Treat

Making these Easter Nests, is super easy and they taste delicious!

You will only need 3 ingredients:
200g (about 2/3 of a package) of chocolate chips, I used semi-sweet
1 cup of crushed wheat squares, like Shreddies cereal
Mini eggs, as many as you’d like
You will also need mini paper cupcake cases.

1. Melt chocolate chips. I don’t own a double boiler, so I just used a small pot and put about an inch of water in it and placed the bowl of chocolate chips on top. I set the stove to medium low and brought the water to a simmer. Stirring occasionally. Remove bowl once all the chocolate chips have been melted.
2. Crushed the wheat squares. This can be done while the chocolate chips are melting, but remember to continue stirring occasionally. To do this I just grabbed two at a time and crushed them between my thumb and forefinger. You don’t want these to end up being fine crumbs, just slightly crushed into irregular, smaller pieces.
3. Once the chocolate has been melted, and the wheat squares crushed, mix the two ingredients together until the wheat squares are completely coated with the chocolate.
4. Spoon approximately 1 tablespoon into each mini paper cupcake cases.

5. Place 2-3 mini eggs on top, or however many you prefer 😉

6. Place treats in the fridge for about an hour to harden.

7.  Enjoy!

This recipe will make 12-15 treats to share with family and friends.
