Toddler Christmas Gift Guide

Finding things to get your toddler for Christmas can be challenging. They’ve outgrown the baby toys. They’re not old enough for anything that has small parts. And they seen to tire of things very easily! I’ve compiled a list of gifts that I think would be a toddler very happy!

Imaginative Toys
A play kitchen holds seemingly unlimited hours of fun. Wyatt is always drawn to the kitchen play area at our local library when we go, as well has his cousin’s play BBQ kitchen setup. We pretend to make lunch, and eat play food for hours on end. Though they are big, and can be an eye sore in you living room, the joy on your toddlers face is worth it.

The same can be said for farm toys, or Fisher Price Little People Communities. Toddler’s love playing pretend. They don’t need all the lights and noises that come along with so many toys these days. Not only is using their imagination good for their brain development, but the fewer noisy toys, the happier the mama 😉

Fun, Interactive Books
Wyatt loves to read! He gets it from him mama. We love not only reading the words on the page, but talking about what we see in the pictures, and acting out what is happening in the story as well. Now that he’s getting a little older, growing out of the baby phase, he’ll sit through longer stories as well. Though we haven’t abandoned the good ole board books just yet! I will definitely be picking up There’s a Monster At The End of This Book! I remember loving this book as a kid. I think Wyatt will find it hilarious, especially because he already loved Sesame Street.

Other great books are ones that help build their ever growing vocabulary. I personally like the My First books. Although seemingly over simplified, the repetition is what they need to remember, especially now that they are talking much more.

Techy Baby
Maybe you are looking for something a little more high tech, it is almost 2019 after all. Here are my top picks for the interactive toys with all the bells and whistles.
I am personally against the babies and toddlers with iPad situation that I’ve seen a lot of in recent years. I good alternative, in my opinion, is this VTech Brilliant Baby Laptop. It contains plenty of games and songs to keep your toddler entertained. They are sure to feel like a bog boy/girl using their laptop just like Mommy and Daddy!

Does your little one love to dance? The Fisher Price Bright Beats Dance and Move BeatBo might be just what you’re looking for! Wyatt loves to dance along to the music on his TV shows, but I try to limit his screen time. He would love to dance with this cool toy.

These are just a few of the ideas I have for Wyatt. What will you be picking up for your toddler this Christmas? Do you go all out or just pick up a few things?
