We Are All Beautiful!
I always skip the ads that play before/ during YouTube videos.
Today I got distracted, and I’m so glad I did because the commercial that played was so powerful!
I’m talking about the Dove Choose Beautiful commercial.
After watching this I was left with tears in my eyes, and a feeling of empowerment like I haven’t felt in a very long time.
Women (and men) are made to feel average on a daily basis, it just seems to be the way it is – BUT IT SHOULDN’T BE!!
We are all beautiful! You should never be made to feel anything but that.
Know your worth.
Wear that lipstick that you love, even if it’s not a colour that’s “trendy” at the moment.
Wear those yoga pants outside of the gym if that’s what makes you feel confident.
You feel beautiful with bright orange hair? Go dye it! Who cares what that lady across the street thinks?
We need to start focusing on what makes us FEEL beautiful, not what that guy (or girl) in your class thinks is beautiful.
Most importantly, ALLOW yourself to feel beautiful! Sometimes we may feel guilty, or perhaps vain for feeling that way, but you shouldn’t!
