August Favourites
Although I am sad to see summer go, I am so excited for fall. September is my favourite month of the year. Growing up, it was always exciting getting all your new school stuff, signifying a new ‘year’! This will (hopefully) be my last year in school, I am off to finish the 4th year of my degree, and can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Even next year, September will continue to be an exciting time as Maxwell will be headed off to Elementary school. Yikes!
Let’s move onto the products I’ve been loving in August before I get all sentimental, shall we:
Pur~lisse Pur~delicate Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser and Makeup Remover – Though I haven’t tested whether this product is good at removing your makeup, it is good for a gentle cleanse. After using this my skin feels soft and clean. I generally use this when my skin is behaving better and doesn’t need anything ‘stronger’. I received this product in an Ipsy bag a few months ago.
Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in 410 Up The Ante – This bright purple polish is what I’ve had on my toes all month. This gel-like product does not chip for a long time and doesn’t require a base coat because it is base and colour in one. I bought this after Estée (Essie Button) raved about this a ton last year.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Light Beige – I got a sample size of this foundation from Sephora, so I didn’t have to take the plunge and spend $49 before testing it out a few times. This is the first foundation that I’ve ever felt matched my skin tone perfectly! This product lasts all day on my super oily skin, and I will definitely be buying the full size.
Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop – Basically everyone that is into makeup seems to have purchased, and raved about this highlight already. I won’t bore you with the details again. It’s amazeballs! You need it if you don’t have it already.
Revlon Blush in 006 Naughty Nude – All month I have been more into the bronzey/ highlighty look, less into blush. This nude blush adds just the perfect hint of somethin somethin on the cheeks, and a nice glow. I have actually made quite a dent in this which doesn’t happen with my products too often I’m ashamed to say!
What have you been loving this past month?
Emily ♥

I love Up the Ante. I definitely bought it after Estée talked about it so much last year too.
I think I will be using it today. Thanks for the reminder!
