Review | L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3
I’ve been using the L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3 line for the past two weeks, and I can honestly say, my hair hasn’t felt this great since before bleach, which was a few years ago! This review features the shampoo, conditioner, and the reinforcing leave-in spray.
64% less hair fall. From weak, fragile hair with a tendency to fall to strong, restructured hair.
Shampoo – “A strengthening shampoo with Arginine cleanses the scalp and nourishes the root, leaving hair stronger.”
Conditioner – ” A nourishing conditioner that penetrates hair from root to tip for hair that is soft, strong, and shiny.”
Reinforcing Leave-in Root Spray – “A targeted root spray that stimulates micro-circulation at the bulb, ensuring the hair grows stronger from the root leaving it more resistant to hair fall.”
Arginine is an essential amino acid that is important for blood flow and nitric acid levels. Athletes commonly use Arginine as a supplement, according to this article.
The packaging is pretty standard for the shampoo and conditioner. But, the nozzle on the leave-in spray is perfect for targeting your roots. The fine mist doesn’t over saturate your hair, leaving it greasy in spots, it disperses the product evenly.
The suggested retail price (CAD) for these products are $6.99 for the shampoo and conditioner, and $8.49 for the reinforcing leave-in spray but you can most likely find them cheaper at Walmart, or Amazon.
Since using this shampoo my scalp has been significantly less irritated, leading to my hair loss and breakage returning to almost normal levels; instead of by the handful every time I washed my hair. My hair feels cleaner; I have rarely used dry shampoo and haven’t needed to use a clarifying shampoo, but my hair is not stripped either, it’s the perfect balance.
The conditioner leaves my hair feeling soft, but not so much that I can’t put it up, or do anything with it. It has restored the shine in my hair, which has been lacking since I bleached it a few years ago.
The reinforcing leave-in spray is a bit harder to review based on its claims above. I have no way of knowing if the micro-circulation in my scalp has improved. But I can tell you, that I don’t believe a shampoo and conditioner on their own can provide the same results that I’ve had since using this hair line. I’ve applied this treatment after every wash to the roots, brushing through the lengths while my hair is wet/damp. My hair loss was a combination of an irritated scalp, and fine hair prone to breakage. So if my hair wasn’t breaking off because it was so fine, it was just falling out right at my scalp. I believe it is this hair treatment that has made such a dramatic difference.
My hair feels strong, nourished and healthy thanks to the shampoo and conditioner, and the breakage and hair loss has decreased significantly thanks to the leave-in spray, over a two week time period. This hair line is fabulous for those of you with fragile hair, prone to breakage, as mine was. I plan on picking up the other two products in this line, the hair mask, and Instant Miracle, as I love these products so much. These product are the best products I have ever used in my hair, at least that I can recall.
I hope this review was helpful! 🙂

I've never tried this hair range before or heard of it but do use the L'oreal colour protect collection from time to time as my mum absolutely loves it so I always use it when I go to visit haha! The leave in spray would be perfect for me on the go and something I'll definitely look into xx

The line is amazing! If your hair falls or breaks more than it should, I would definitely recommend it. 🙂
