Empties | Products I’ve Used Up | 2
Remember in my first empties post when I said it would be too daunting to do a huge post? He he whoops! Here we go!
Skincare
Aveeno Fresh Essentials Anti-Fatigue Eye Roller – Reduces the look of puffiness and dark circles. The metal roller felt amazing under the eyes in the mornings. Though this was only a sample, it lasted for ages. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for something cooling and depuffing in the morning.
Clearasil Daily Clear Daily Pore Cleansing Pads – I used these as my acid tone step in my skin care. It was too strong (2% salicylic acid) for everyday on my sensitive skin. It did a good job at exfoliating the dead skin off my face. I will be repurchasing.
Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel – This is a great, gentle cleanser. I enjoyed using this in the mornings.
Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover – I did not like this. In my opinion, it is not worth the money ($36). Sure it worked, but it worked just as well as the cheaper alternatives. For the price I expect miracles people!
Clean & Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer – This oil-free moisturizer worked really well with my oily skin. It smells of cucumber, which was great in the mornings! I will be repurchasing.
Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist – This product is super luxurious. I got a sample and even it has amazing, sturdy packaging. It smells great, was hydrating and refreshing. I probably won’t buy the full size for myself, just because of the price. But this would be a great gift for a loved one.
Bliss Firm, Baby, Firm – This serum claimed to be lifting and volumizing. I didn’t notice anything fantastic while using this, but my skin did look a but plumper and more hydrated. Nothing amazing.
Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser – Yes this was gentle, but a bit too gentle. I didn’t feel it was doing a good job cleansing my skin.
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes – These are my favourite cleansing wipes. I use them for removing heavy makeup, swatches, wipes off brushes, etc. I’d recommend these!
Hair
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – This was good, but not as good as Batiste in my opinion.
Batiste Dry Shampoo – I wasn’t a huge fan of this tropical scent, but Batiste is my favourite dry shampoo.
Body
Nivea Happy Time Body Lotion – I love this scent! It was hydrating, and has a pump which is always a bonus.
Little Luxuries Soapworks Whipped Sugar Scrub – I got mine in the Sex on the Beach scent which was lovely. It was good and provided a gentle exfoliation, nothing special though I’m never blown away by a sugar scrub.
Avon Naturals Refreshing Pomegranate & Mango Shower Gel – Smells good, got my body clean, not much more I can say.
Bodycology Brown Sugar Vanilla Shower Gel – This scent was a bit too sweet for me and made my feel a bit greasy, not a fan.
Makeup
CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara – This is a great ‘natural’ mascara. The wand evenly distributed product, and it does what it claims. I’d repurchase.
Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara – A great lengthening mascara, didn’t blow my mind, but it was good!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – Now this is a fabulous mascara, probably my favourite that I’ve tried! I will be purchasing the full size.
Sei Bella Flawless Age-Defying Concealer – The slight salmon colour helped with under eye circles, the brush applicator made application and a bit of blending easy though I’d go in with a concealer brush to blend further.
Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat – I never found that my polish stayed on very well using this compared to other products.
Little Luxuries Soapworks Lip Balm – This smelled like orange creamsicle, which is great. But it didn’t feel hydrating, just greasy.
Phew, that was a long one! Next time, I will try not to wait three months between these posts.
