  • July Favourites

I’ve decided to try and do monthly favourites instead of seasonal favourites as I’ve done in the past. Let me know what you think! Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic – I have done a full reviewed this product here earlier this month. This is a lovely, hydrating toner. It has calmed my redness, and is refreshing to spritz on hot summer days! Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – I still prefer bristle wands over plastic ones, but this is a fabulous mascara. I find it to be volumizing and lengthening. Some times it is a bit hard to work with because the formula is so wet, but the end result is worth…

  • Summer Beauty Wishlist

These beauty items have been at the top of my ‘to-buy’ list for quite some time now, I just haven’t bitten the bullet yet. Too Faced Semisweet Chocolate Bar Palette – This palette is beautiful! I’m especially excited for the Peanut Butter shade to the right of the blue. Shockingly, this will be my first highend eyeshadow palette – I know – I’m behind on the times! I just feel  like it’s more of an investment so I thought long and hard on which one I wanted. Mac Lipstick in Plumful – Described as a blossoming rose-plum. Though this isn’t an overly summery shade, I think this will be a…

  • Skincare Overhaul

Hey Guys! I’d like to take you on this skincare overhaul/ journey with me. My skin has always been problematic, starting when I was 11 years old. It has changed many times over the years. I’d think I found a holy grail skincare item, and then my skin would do a 180 on me. It has not always been due to seasonal changes either as it doesn’t always return to ‘normal’ when the seasons changed back. Before re-vamping my skincare routine, my skin was/had: combination/oily dehydrated sensitive cystic acne dark scarring ‘dented’ scarring beginning signs of ageing around eyes and forehead  In my mind, the first steps were to get…

  • Ipsy July 2015 Unboxing

Hey Guys! Sorry for the lack of posts, time is in high demand lately, more so than usual it seems. I have a TON of posts planned (I’m literally on July 5 of my ‘blog schedule’ yikes), I am now waiting for the weather to be a bit better so I can get better quality photos with the natural sunlight, hopefully tomorrow! For now, I’d like to share with you what I got in my July Ipsy bag.   This month’s theme was Summer Lovin’. I feel that the products I got really do embody the summer theme well. The bag is pretty cute as well, I love the bright…

  • Review | Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic

Hey guys, as promised here’s a review of the Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic which I showed in a previous haul, which you can read – here. After using this product daily, for over a month I think I have a pretty good feel for the product. I like to test out skincare items for much longer before I share my thoughts with you. This product contains beneficial ingredients for your skin, as you’d expect: Lavender water to calm and refresh Serine promotes softness and moisture balance Glycerin to hydrate The information about glycerin in skincare seems to be quite contradictory. I have read that it draws the moisture from the…

  • Drugstore Haul Plus Tangle Teezer

It’s about that time when I share a few of the items I’ve bought over the past few weeks.  Maybelline Brow Drama in Soft Brown – This product is great for those minimal makeup days on its own, or used to add a bit of extra colour after filling them in. It kept my brows in place all day without that stiff feeling. I’m actually preferring to use this over my Anastasia Brow Gel at the moment. Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 10 Light – This concealer was featured in my last drugstore haul post (here), and I’ve picked up another, this time in 10 Light. This is a better…

  • Ipsy June 2015 Unboxing

The theme for this month’s bag is Swim into Beauty.   The bag is cute again this month. The material reminds me of scuba suits, it’ll be perfect for bringing to the beach throughout the summer. I love the pop of colour on the zipper, the neon pink really stands out.   BioRepublic fibre masks. This is what I am most excited for! I got the Aloe Rescue Revitalizing, Green Tea Detox Purifying, and Cucumber Breeze Soothing. Getting to try 3/4 of the masks this company offers is fabulous! These will be put to good use for sure!   trèStiQue Mini Shadow Crayon in Marimoto Pink Pearl. As the shade…

  • Spring Favourites

Today I’m going to share with you the 10 products I’ve been loving this Spring. Olay Age Defying Instant Hydration Eye Cream – Not that I’m overly concerning myself with anti-aging products, but this was a nice, hydrating eye cream, and I’m almost through the whole tube. Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear nail polish in Lacey Lilac – I’ve talked about this before, here, so I won’t go on about it again. Great colour, wore it on my nails a lot this spring. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in 60 Brightener – Brightens beautifully, blends like a dream. Not the biggest fan of the sponge, I prefer doe…

  • My First Mac Products | Mac Haul

These are my first ever Mac products. I know, where have I been? It’s not even that I don’t have any higher-end beauty products, but something about entering a Mac store was too intimidating.  Even now, I’m cheating a bit because Jeremy bought me these items as a gift. My gruff, country boy mechanic braved the Mac store donning his camo hat and greasy stained jeans. When he returned he said he got some weird looks and giggles, but also a “Wow, you must love her! My boyfriend would never buy me makeup – but he is now!” I have the best man! Enough blabbering – onto the products: These…

  • Review | Too Faced Cocoa Contour Chisled to Perfection Face Contouring and Highlighting Kit

I hauled this contour kit in my last post, and promised a full review – so here it is!   I bought this palette at Sephora (here) for $50CDN The reason I chose this particular contour palette over say, the Anastasia one, or the Kat Von D one was because it was cheaper, and contains the shades I would get the most use out of anyway. Also, the individual powders contain more actual product (per shade, not entire palette). These powders are super blendable, which is exactly what I look for in a contour and bronzer powder. You don’t want to end up with a muddy looking streak under your…
