January Ipsy Bag | 2017
The first Ipsy bag of 2017. I was expecting another knock-out bag, but this month left me wanting more. The theme this month is Metropolis. I love the sporty vibe of the bag this month, the metallic mesh overlay reminds me of the 90s for some reason. Global Beauty Care Dead Sea Mask – I love a good deep cleansing mask once a week, more if I’m breaking out really bad. This claims to draw out dirt and impurities, peel away dead skin cells, restore elasticity, and fortify with essential moisturizers. It’s strange for this type of mask to claim to be moisturizing, so I’m excited to give this a…

Top 5 Posts of 2016
Just like last year, I was curious to see what my most viewed posts were over the past year. My blogging game was seriously lacking in 2016, but it was for the best as I made so much progress in other aspects of my life. Here is a round up of the posts y’all liked most this year: 1. Top 5 | Spring Polishes, May 2. KathleenLights Made Me Buy It, February 3. Review | Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment, May 4. Review | L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3, March 5. Casey Holmes Made Me Buy It, May Compared to this post last year, I can see such a…

Top 5 | Spring Polishes
[Clockwise from top centre: Bikini So Teeny, Lacey Lilac, Suzi Shops & Island Hops, Is Mai Tai Crooked?, Mellow Yellow] As the second installment in my Top 5 series, I wanted to share my favourite spring nail polishes. Missed my first post in the series? You can read it HERE. I love soft, pastel nails in the spring time. Though above the yellow and orange polishes look a bit deeper in tone, it must have been my lighting – apologies – in real life they are both muted pastel colours like the others. At work I am not allowed to have nail polish on so I haven’t swatched all of…

Drugstore Haul | October 2015
Much like the items in my last haul, these have been waiting around for awhile. I’ve been picking these up here and there for the last month, and am pretty happy with the items I’ve used so far! The two nail polish purchases are heavily inspired by Kathleen Lights. OPI in It’s a Piazza Cake from the fall Venice collection is the nail polish version of Ofra liquid lipstick in Miami Fever, which I also have and love. Essie in Leggy Legend, also from their fall 2015 collection, is a beautiful metallic bronze with a bit of gold and green reflects. Both polishes are stunning for fall, and all I’ve…

Ipsy September 2015 Unboxing
Sorry this post is coming later than usual, I just received my bag Friday and am just getting a chance to sit down and blog now. But hopefully you’re still interested in seeing what I got in my bag. This month’s theme is Face Fashion, with the beautiful Katy (LustreLux) on the front of the card. The bag is cute for fall. I love the textured front part, and the metallic finish. It’s also a good size, long enough to put in brushes for travelling. Trèstique Matte Lip Crayon in Nantucket Nude – This peach-y nude would look great on fair skin-tones. I haven’t tried it on yet, but it…

Drugstore Haul | September 2015
It has been over a month since my last haul post, so I thought it was about time to share with you what I’ve been picking up from the drugstore since then. I have also discovered, in the back of my closet, a couple new photo backdrops, please let me know what you think of this one in the comments. Revlon Nail Polish in 725 Provocative – I love the formula of these polishes, and didn’t have a orange-y red (more orange) in my collection. This polish is kind of like my last tribute to summer, and have been wearing it as much as possible until breaking out the dark…

Empties | Products I’ve Used Up | 3
Since my last empties post, I’ve decided to try to do one monthly, if I have enough products to share with you. Skincare Lush Tea Tree Water Toner – I only used about 2/3 of this product, but it has expired. I thought this was a great toner for my acne prone skin, but not for everyday as it can be a bit drying. I won’t be repurchasing anytime soon as I’m trying out a few others. The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask – Another product I didn’t get to finish completely, but it has dried up. It was time for it to go anyway because I’ve had it…

August Favourites
Although I am sad to see summer go, I am so excited for fall. September is my favourite month of the year. Growing up, it was always exciting getting all your new school stuff, signifying a new ‘year’! This will (hopefully) be my last year in school, I am off to finish the 4th year of my degree, and can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Even next year, September will continue to be an exciting time as Maxwell will be headed off to Elementary school. Yikes! Let’s move onto the products I’ve been loving in August before I get all sentimental, shall we: Pur~lisse Pur~delicate Gentle…

Essie Tart Deco
As my final tribute to summer, I have brought out Essie Tart Deco. I wore this non stop last summer, but this is the first time I’ve worn it this year for some reason. I suppose it is because I’ve been more into the purples, mint, and light blue polishes. This coral-y peach shade screams summer to me. It is also one of those colours that make you appear more tan than you really are, which I always appreciate. My apologies that the picture doesn’t do it justice, it looks more orange above than it actually is. What is your favourite nail polish in the summer? Emily ♥

New Goodies | Drugstore and Sephora Haul
Happy Saturday! This month has been a spendy one! I have a few packages en route still, so expect another haul post soon. If hauls aren’t your thing – don’t worry I also have a few reviews in the works. Batiste Dry Shampoo – This time I purchased my favourite dry shampoo in the Original scent. The Wild scent is still my favourite, but this one is probably runner up. I usually buy Batiste at Marshalls to get it a bit cheaper. Formula X Base Coat – I had run out of my previous base coat, which is shown in my latest empties post. I’ve heard good things about this…
