Essie Bikini So Teeny
This is a bit of a rediscovery of an old friend. Essie’s Bikini So Teeny is a light blue polish with a hint of shimmer. This colour reminds me a lot of the packaging for the Mac Cinderella collection, which I missed out on much to my dismay. It takes a good two coats to build up the colour to my desired opaqueness, and for it not to appear streaky. Though Essie polishes are not my favourite formula, they chip quite easily on my nails, I do love this colour and will probably be wearing it quite a lot this season. What nail polish have you been loving recently? ♥

OOTD
Hello Spring, are you there? Yesterday the weather started to take a warmer turn. The sun was shining, the snow was melting. I felt this outfit would be a good transition into spring, though perhaps with an added cardigan and my Hunter boots. Sorry for the poor quality photos, not only is it a rainy day today, but I used my phone. I love the mesh detailing at the neckline and hem of this crop top, and the grey really suits my skintone. Top – xhilaration (bought at Target) These jeans are an all time favourite, I also have them in a darker wash. They fit me really nicely,…

L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints
Today I thought I’d do a review on the L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints. The packaging claims these have ‘super intense color’ and an ‘extra glossy finish’, which is correct, though they do dry into what I’d describe as a semi-matte finish after an hour or so. Pros: Great colour selection, I bought three that I thought would be great for spring/summer The finish is fantastic Lasts a good amount of time, about 5 hours on me Pigmentation is great Cons: Smell like paint to me A tad drying Settles into my fine lines on my lips (except the colour daring) Bleeds, I’d recommend using a lip liner I’m not…

Winter Favourites
I could not be more excited to be moving into spring! Today I’d like to share with you the 10 products I’ve been loving the most during these long winter months. Let’s start with skincare. First up is the Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. This is a great cleanser for me in the winter, I didn’t want anything to harsh and drying on my skin. It’s super gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean. The other skincare item I’ve been loving all winter is The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. I’ve been suffering from dry spots this winter, which has never happened to me before. I was looking for…

Spring Wardrobe Wishlist
Spring is right around the corner, or so I’ve been told. Here in Halifax we just got another 10+ cm of snow. However, when spring finally decides to show up, I want to be ready. Here are the five items I’d like to add to my wardrobe to transition into the warmer months to come. 1. Ripped Jeans I have been seeing these everywhere, so glad this trend is back. I love the light wash of this pair from American Eagle. They will easily take me into spring and summer. 2. Light-Weight Jacket Living in Halifax, you need a good rain coat in the spring. I love the bright yellow…

Feeling Bendy
I’ve been really enjoying doing 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene! The series is made with the intent of you doing it everyday for 30 days. However, if you can’t commit to that – that’s okay too! The videos vary in length some are as short at 10 minutes, others are 40 minutes. I’ve been doing the yoga whenever I can fit it in, this is not everyday for me. It can be three times a week, or even once a week depending on how busy I am at the time. I am doing the videos in order though and am currently on Day 17. Adriene teaches yoga in a…

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
I’ve been looking for a replacement to my beloved The Body Shop Love Etc. perfume for awhile. That perfume holds a lot of memories for me and Jeremy. I wore it all the time when me and Jeremy first started dating (I was 17), and have worn it most date nights since, it reminds us of ‘old times’, being carefree and spontaneous. Not only was I about to use the last of it, but I think it went bad. It now has a strong alcohol smell. It had lasted quite a long time though, approximately six years I’d say. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure Love Etc.…

Yesterday I received my first real Naturebox. I have recieved the trial/sample bix before this one. I’m always on the hunt for healthier snack options for both myself and Max. This box is $20 plus $7 shipping to Canada plus tax. You get 5 bags of different snacks. You are able to choose which snacks you want to receive, or you can opt for a surprise box each month. I chose to have a surprise. They offer over a 100 varieties so there is something for everyone. This is what I received this month: French Toast Granola – maple-flavored granola with pecans. I am usually not the biggest fan of…

The Bedtime Tag
1. What are your favourite pajamas? I got these for Christmas this year and have worn them so much since. They are so warm and soft! It is a two piece pajama set from Walmart (George brand), and is aqua with white polka dots. 2. Current bedtime reading? I usually only read before bed if I’m the only adult home. The book I’ve been currently reading is City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare, book 5 of the Mortal Instruments series. I got the book set of this series as a gift a few years ago and have been trying to read them all, though it’s not quite my cup…

My First Ipsy Bag
My love for subscription boxes probably stems from watching a ton of unboxing videos on YouTube each month. The prospect of getting a small present for myself in the mail every month for a small price is just so exciting! The price of the Ipsy subscription is $10/month (or $110 for a yearly subscription) plus $4.95/shipping (to Canada). I tihnk this is a great deal for the amount, and quality or products you receive each month. Let’s take a look at what I got. The month’s theme is #IpsyLOVE for Valentine’s Day. First off, the products come in a cute makeup bag each month. This month’s is hot pink will…
