All I Needed Was a Toner… | Mini Sephora Haul
Recently ebates.com celebrated their birthday by offering special deals on their site. If you haven’t checked them out before – you definitely should! One of the deals was 16% cash back at Sephora.com – how could I resist? The only product I actually ‘needed’ was a hydrating toner but Sephora offers free shipping for orders over $75 so obviously I need a splurge item as well .. right? Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic – I have heard great reviews on this product and needed a hydrating toner, especially to use before applying my makeup. It contains lavender which calms and refreshes, and serine which promotes softness and moisture balance. So far…

Review | Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil Frizz Defy
I’ve been using this hair oil for about two months, and I thought I’d share my opinion. To start, the packaging is quite nice. I love the bright orange bottle (it’s my favourite colour), and the pump gives the perfect amount of product to where it doesn’t leave your hair greasy with one pump. The bottle is made from a thin(ish) plastic, and I feel that if you dropped it from any height, it may crack open – now that would be an awful mess! This product claims to be a “treatment for frizzy, unruly hair, with custom-blended Amla & Jojoba oil, smooths and tames frizz.” Now, my hair…

Drugstore Haul | May 2015
Today I’m going to share with you my most recent purchases from the drugstore I’ve made throughout the month of May, as well as two items from Marshalls. The two 3×3 lipstick holder’s are the items I bought from Marshalls for $4.99 each. I thought this was a great deal because I’ve been looking at a 24 piece off Amazon for $20. I will definitely pick up another if I see them again but as I’m sure you know with those stores if you don’t grab it when you see it, it probably won’t be there when you go back. The next thing I bought was the Maybelline Lash Sensational…

Sally Hansen Cuteapillar
I went into Walmart on the hunt for a beautiful mint polish and I think I succeeded. Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in 140 Cuteapillar is from the limited edition Butterfly Kisses collection. I’ve talked about the formula of these polishes before (here), so I won’t go into it again. This colour is exactly what I was looking for, I’ve been seeing it everywhere and really didn’t own a polish this colour. I also think it suits my skin tone quite well. I will definitely be wearing this on my nail loads as we come into summer! What have you been wearing on your nails lately? ♥

Review | Pantene Pro-V Root Reboot Dry Shampoo
Last night I had a product review post just about ready to publish, finishing up the links etc. when I came across an announcement (or whatever you’d like to call it), stating that the product had just been discontinued. Dammit!! I didn’t see the point in doing a post on something that will no longer be available once the shelves clear. So, sorry for the lack of a weekend post this past weekend, but here’s a bit of a replacement review for you. Today I’m talking about the Pantene Pro-V Root Reboot Dry Shampoo. I’ve had this product for many months now, just trying to love it, but I can’t…

Ipsy May 2015 Unboxing
I’ve only been subscribed to Ipsy for a few months, I wrote a post on the first one I received in February. In that post I also go over the details of the subscription, so if you’re not sure about pricing etc. go on over to check that out. The theme for this months bag is Jetsetter. First off, can we talk about how cute this makeup bag is this month? I cannot wait to carry this around in my purse with me! It reads: ‘Contents: My Life. Breakups to Makeup’. Love it. This bag is also a different shape from the others I’ve received, it’s almost square, whereas the…

FOTD – Where The Light Is
After writing my post on the Colourpop x Kathleen Lights collaboration, I thought I should show you guys this foursome in action. For this look I loosely followed the tutorial that Kathleen Lights has up on her channel – watch it here. As I said in my previous post, the texture of these shadows is the strangest thing I’ve ever experienced; but I kind of love it! I have yet to find the perfect brushes to apply these shadows with, I believe they’d work best with more dense brushes, or your fingers of course. Base: Hourglass Veil Mineral primerCoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous foundation in 105 Classic IvoryMaybelline Instant Age Rewind…

Empties | Products I’ve Used Up
Today I thought I’d do my first empties/products I’ve used up post because I had a few items collected in my basket and I noticed this morning I’m about to run out of a ton of products in the coming weeks. The thought of my first empties post being even longer than this one seemed a bit too daunting to me for whatever reason. Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer for Fair to Medium Skin Tones. I’ve had this floating around my stash for almost 3 years. I never used it that consistently because I found that if you applied it a few days in a row, which is its intended…

ColourPop Haul and Review
When I heard that Kathleen Lights, who is my favourite YouTuber of the moment, was coming out with a foursome collaboration with ColourPop, I knew I wanted to get it. I purchased both her Where The Light Is foursome, and her lippie stix and pencil in Lumière. I also bought the lippie stix and pencil in Frida, which was an older collaboration with CoffeeBreakwithDani, another YouTuber I enjoy watching. The foursome was $20, which I think is a fair price considering their individual shadows are $5 each. Each lippie stix and pencil were $5. In my opinion, these are great prices, even better than many brands at the drugstore, with…
