e.l.f. Glow Reviver Tinted Lip Oil
e.l.f. Cosmetics has released a nourishing tinted lip oil with a high shine finish. “Drench your lips in this addictive, ultra-glossy color. The plush, oversized cushion applicator slicks on this nourishing oil to deliver a sheer wash of color to your pout. Available in 7 juicy shades.” The lip oil craze continues! I think this looks incredible, and I’m loving the $8 price point. They claim this is not sticky, is hydrating, and gives an ultra-glossy finish with a fresh minty scent. Ingredients to note are: Squalane, Apricot oil, Avocado oil, Jojoba oil, and Pomegranate oil. Which shade do you have your eye on? I’m liking Honey Talks, and Pink Quartz.…

NEW Rare Beauty Blush & Glow Set
New Makeup Release The Holiday makeup releases have really picked up speed. This is one of the first to truly catch my attention. Every year I keep my eye out for the holiday sets from Rare Beauty. This is the Rare Beauty Blush & Glow 4-piece set (C$46). It contains 4 x 0.11oz/3.2mL of fan favourite products. The two liquid blush shades are Wisdom (set-exclusive mauve plum) and Virtue (soft terracotta). The two liquid highlight shades are Magnetize (set-exclusive light gold) and Transcend (rose gold). Rare Beauty has become a brand I truly love. The main reason I covet these holiday sets is because I will never be able to…

Come on Barbie
Trending: Barbiecore You can’t escape it. Barbie is everywhere! Coincidentally, the pink makeup trend was already gaining traction prior to the Barbie movie announcement. The hype surrounding this new movie, combined with an already trending makeup look created the perfect storm for the beauty community. Let’s talk about it: The pink blush trend specifically took off with the Dior Rosy Glow blush (C$55) when it went viral on Tiktok. It consistently sold out everywhere for months on end. New makeup products take many months, sometimes years, to create. We are now seeing the results of that popularity in the makeup products being released lately. Tower28 Beach Please (C$27), and Patrick…

Blend Bunny Sugar and Grunge
Blend Bunny Cosmetics’ new release has certainly caught my attention! This 90’s themed palette; a mix of sugar and grunge, has the most beautiful packaging! This release is accompanied by a trio of grungy matte lip creams. The nostalgic shade names are so fun! Do you see a favourite? Blend Bunny’s inspiration behind this palette was softer, sweet tones paired with grungy, deep counterparts. Blend Bunny Cosmetics is an indie brand I’ve been wanting to try for some time. Their Dollhouse, Lure , and now Sugar and Grunge palettes are on my wish list. The layouts of their palettes are really appealing to me. It’s easy to create a cohesive…

BEAUTY REVIEW Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara
Saturday was a sad day. I finished off yet another tube of the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara. Now, this mascara costs a pretty penny at C$33, and I would never pay that much for a mascara in my life. I have received both tubes I’ve used for “free”, through a subscription box and Sephora’s Lash Stash To-Go. This mascara is flipping amazing! It gives me intense black colour, and a ton of volume. I find it has a similar wand to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, but this formula is less dry and doesn’t flake on me. One con, if your eyes water, this will smear; though…

Static Solutions
←←← This is me. The cold, dry winter air is killing my hair vibes this year! Today, I’m sharing a few easy fixes, to keep you from looking like you’ve just been electrocuted: Adding MoistureAs the main culprit to static is the dry air, both outdoors and inside, it’s important to add that moisture back. You can do this by switching your shampoo and conditioner to a more hydrating formula, or adding a leave-in product to your routine. Try: ArtNatural Shampoo + Conditioner ($23) or OGX Hydrating Tea Tree Mint Shampoo ($5.49) Dirty HairTrying washing your hair less often. Each time you shampoo, you’re stripping your hair of its natural…

Go Faux | False Lashes
I’ve been learning more and more about what it takes to produce a mink lash, and am not too impressed by this being passed as “cruelty-free’. While I understand the different between vegan and cruelty-free, I feel on this front they’re blurring the lines. Mink are not friendly, sociable animals. I can guarantee they are not happy sitting in their cages, and the manufacturers are not snuggling and combing them to retrieve the hairs. There are three brands in particular that I wanted to draw attention to today, while I am sure there are many more. These brands boast about their cruelty-free status all over social media, while producing mink…

Tacky or Too Faced?
Too Faced has a new collection launching February 12th in collaboration with The Pretty Mess. The collection includes a 12 pan eyeshadow palette, a Lip Injection, 2 lip kits, a body shimmer, and a highlight. Not gonna lie, I was flabbergasted when I saw this collection for a couple of reasons: Firstly, I had no clue who The Pretty Mess was. Erika Jayne is on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and clearly has a loyal fan base, with 1.6 million followers in Instagram. Secondly, after the response on the Glow Job Glitter Mask, retailing for $52CAD, I’m surprised they went this route again, with the “shocking”, risque product names.…
