Static Solutions
←←← This is me. The cold, dry winter air is killing my hair vibes this year! Today, I’m sharing a few easy fixes, to keep you from looking like you’ve just been electrocuted: Adding MoistureAs the main culprit to static is the dry air, both outdoors and inside, it’s important to add that moisture back. You can do this by switching your shampoo and conditioner to a more hydrating formula, or adding a leave-in product to your routine. Try: ArtNatural Shampoo + Conditioner ($23) or OGX Hydrating Tea Tree Mint Shampoo ($5.49) Dirty HairTrying washing your hair less often. Each time you shampoo, you’re stripping your hair of its natural…

Top 5 | Spring Polishes, May 2. KathleenLights Made Me Buy It, February 3. Review | Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment, May 4. Review | L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3, March 5. December Ipsy Bag | 2016
The last Ipsy bag of the year. Ironically, the last Ipsy post on this blog was the first bag of the year. This month’s theme is ‘carpe p.m.’, a clever play on words. As loud and not me this month’s bag is – I kind of love it! It would be a great party clutch if you were in a pinch. It’s texture reminds me of faux pony hair, like that on leopard print shoes. Benefit POREfessional Primer – This is one of my favourite pore filling primers. It provides a smoother base to apply foundation. Having a sample size will be great for if I travel anywhere. Nip +…

BoxyCharm Unboxing | July 2016
This is the second BoxyCharm to ever ship to Canada! I unboxed the June one over on my YouTube channel HERE if you’re interested. I would have filmed this as well, but I received the box super late last month, and then early this month so there was only one video in between. But, I still wanted to share with you what I got, so I’m throwing up a blog post for you :), told ya we were going old school over here on my blog. I couldn’t have been more excited when BoxyCharm announced they were expanding into Canada, and I have not been disappointed with the subscription thus…

February Favourites | 2016
Sorry my favourites are a bit late this month! But I hope the fact that I have a ton to share with you this month will make up for it 🙂 L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3 – I’ve written an entire post about these three products, which you can read here. My hair hasn’t been in this great of a condition since before bleach two or three years ago. My hair is stronger, healthier, and falls out significantly less! LUSH Mask of Magnaminty – I’ve been suffering from terrible breakouts over the past month. Using this super cleansing mask all over once a week, plus overnight on my targeted…

Review | L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3
I’ve been using the L’Oréal Hair Expertise Arginine Resist X3 line for the past two weeks, and I can honestly say, my hair hasn’t felt this great since before bleach, which was a few years ago! This review features the shampoo, conditioner, and the reinforcing leave-in spray. Claims 64% less hair fall. From weak, fragile hair with a tendency to fall to strong, restructured hair. Shampoo – “A strengthening shampoo with Arginine cleanses the scalp and nourishes the root, leaving hair stronger.” Conditioner – ” A nourishing conditioner that penetrates hair from root to tip for hair that is soft, strong, and shiny.” Reinforcing Leave-in Root Spray – “A targeted…

Review | Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo
The Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo was featured in my most recent drugstore haul, in which I made a big claim. I may like this slightly more than my beloved Batiste. Claims “Refreshes between washes. Absorbs oil between traditional washes so hair looks and feels refreshed. Weightless formula cleans to transform lifeless hair, so you can enjoy fresh, volumized hair, even when you skip your regular wash.” Product Overview The packaging is sleek and classy. Quite a lot bigger than the Batiste, but still not bulky. The scent is clean and fresh, much like other Dove products I have used in the past. It does linger all day in your hair.…

Sephora VIB Sale Haul | November 2015
I was beyond excited to finally be eligible for the VIB sale at Sephora, as this was my first year as a VIB. I set myself a limit of 5 items, so I wanted to ensure they were all products I have been wanting for ages, and that were highly rated in the beauty community. Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser – I have used up a couple cleansers and was in need of something new to try. This claims to remove all makeup and deep clean pores, which is definitely what I need. I like a cleanser that is gentle, yet still cleans my skin well. I will update in…

Empties | Products I’ve Used Up | 4
After stating in my last empties post, that I’d be doing them monthly… I skipped last month. Oops. In my defense, I only finished around 3 products, so I didn’t feel it would be worth sharing. Over the last two months I have finished 7 beauty products. Body LaVanila The Healthy Body Butter in Pure Vanilla – After seeing this product featured in one of Kathleen Lights favourites videos, I had remembered I received a sample in my Ipsy bag. This smells like a grown up version of a sweet vanilla scent, so yummy. It was incredibly hydrating and is made with all natural ingredients. I would definitely repurchase. LaVanila…
